I am an academic library leader committed to positioning libraries as essential research infrastructure and places for learning, experimentation, and connection. I believe knowledge is a public good and work to expand access to scholarship, data, and teaching and learning materials.
As Associate University Librarian for Research, Teaching, and Technology at the University of Delaware, I lead teams working across research support, teaching and learning, technology, and publishing. I have extensive experience building campus partnerships, developing services that respond to emerging university needs, and leading organizational change. My work has been funded by the National Science Foundation, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Mellon Foundation.
I hold a B.A. in history from Claremont McKenna College, an A.M. in public humanities from Brown University, and a Ph.D. in history from the University of Southern California. I can be reached at akjohnso@udel.edu.
